Part-Time IT Systems Administrator
Overview:
The Systems Administrator will perform a range of technical and operational duties supporting company networks, systems, and end-user computing. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, as well as supporting and coordinating with the helpdesk team to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
Responsibilities:Administer and maintain Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and Azure AD
Monitor systems and applications for performance, availability, and security; escalate issues as needed and document resolutions
Create and maintain documentation including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles
Support endpoint deployment, imaging, and lifecycle management across the organization
Assist with user account provisioning, access management, and security compliance tasks
Coordinate with the helpdesk team on escalated tickets, providing mentorship and technical guidance on complex issues
Communicate effectively with end users, departmental staff, and external vendors regarding support status and system changes
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, audits, and preventive maintenance routines
Assist with basic PowerShell scripting for automation of routine administrative tasks
Support IT operations during peak business periods as scheduledQualifications:Associate's degree, vocational/technical certification, OR 2+ years of IT experience in a systems administration, helpdesk, or technical support role
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts
Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Ability to mentor and support junior IT staff or helpdesk team members
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per
Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
