Mechanical Engineer
POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products to support Becon’s engineering and production operations. This role involves applying engineering principles, conducting analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical requirements, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in driving innovation, product quality, and efficiency improvements across the organization.RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary DutiesAbility to interpret technical specifications to develop conceptual drawings and bill of materials.Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in alignment with project specifications.Prepare engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.Prepare test procedures and conduct performance testing on various types of assembliesPerform analysis to validate designs.Evaluate product performance and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency.Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations to support manufacturability and resolve technical issues.Research new materials, methods, and technologies to support continuous improvement and innovation.Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and vendors as required.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic engineered controlled systems. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor (preferred).Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.Ability to conduct engineering analysis.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.Familiarity with applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
