Current BLS certification or recertification within 60 days of hire. Current food handlers permit or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and be insurable.Knowledge & Skills:Knowledge of basic medical terminology used in a health care facility.Ability to interact professionally with healthcare practitioners and patients.Knowledge of procedures for appointing and routing patients in a rehab setting.Ability to remain calm in potentially tense situations.Skills in organizing maintaining accurate records and documentation.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, clinic/hospital staff, and the general public.Ability to learn the requisition procedures, formats and protocols.Ability to utilize a personal computer and its applications in a Windows environment.Ability to maintain a confident, professional demeanor.Ability to work as a team member with other staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the program.Ability to follow Rehab/BHS guidelines, IHS guidelines and established Policies and Procedures.Job SummaryUnder general supervision, performs advanced nonprofessional nursing work involving a variety of duties in a rehabilitation setting.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a rehabilitation program. Occasional travel may be required in the performance of duties.Physical DemandsPosition requires the demands of rehabilitation program (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and moving). Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
