Commercial Roofing Business Development

Position SummaryDue to strong company growth, Central Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Business Developer to join our DFW office in taking the initiative to create and achieve sales goals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to generate and execute strategies for growth and development of the business, providing key support to business partners and clients.The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, passionate, and has strong interpersonal communication skills. Build relationships and long-term contracts with clients.Receive roof service calls and manage them utilizing our systems and resources.Identify new business opportunities for roofing sales/service, wall cladding, and architectural metals.Identify and contact key decision makers for re-roof and service projects.Follow up with previous clients and develop service relationships.Set up lunches and mixers with potential clients.Cold calls to create new business.Attend Associations Meetings as needed to cultivate leads.Attend DFW and Austin area relevant tradeshows for potential leads and contacts.Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required EducationBachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredExperience3-5 years of commercial construction sales preferred3-5 years of marketing experience preferredSkills & RequirementsMinimum 18 years of ageValid driver’s license and insurable driving recordSuccessful Pre-Employment Drug testSuccessful Background CheckExcellent communication, presentation and follow up skills requiredEffective interpersonal skillsProven ability to work in a fast-paced environmentA strong work ethic and a high level of self-motivationAbility to work independently while contributing to a team environmentParticipate in local community, non-profit, or governmental activities/organizations for both company business development and personal improvementWorking Conditions | Environment | Special RequirementsFull time – mixed between office and field.Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.Ability to transport, carry, and set up a ladder to access roofs.Ability to work outside in the elements.General Commitment for All EmployeesCommits to Company core values and complies with Company norms, policies, directives, and procedures.Follows all safety procedures and protocols.Honors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and information.Satisfies work schedule requirements.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities required to be performed by the employee.
