Food Runner

Job Description:This will be for multiple locations in San Francisco... its a food runner position for DoorDash Direct: Description: Our DoorDash Food Runner is primarily responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food handed off to them by Dashers, this person will be responsible for the cleanliness of the racks/kitchen food service counter, organization of food on these surfaces, and effective communication with the office manager/POC. Essential Job Functions: Track all DoorDash catering, group, and individual orders between 11.15 am - 1.15 pm.Be contactable by Dashers and Support staff regarding delivery of orders, and meet Dashers within 5 mins of arrivalOwn and operate the rolling cart provided to move food safely between Dx drop off and placement on rack/open kitchen areaEnsure delivered items are at Customers' food rack within 10 mins of handoff by DasherEnsure catering orders are set up (taken out of bags, and laid out) in the open kitchen area within 10 mins of handoff by Dasher, in a clean and tidy mannerCoordinate with office manager to ensure serve ware, utensils, crockery, and napkins are available for easy food consumptionCommunicate effectively and courteously with staffPerform calmly and effectively under stressful conditionsPromote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting the office manager/team members in all aspects around DoorDash meal supplyBe courteous, friendly, pleasant, and punctualStand and walk for an entire shift, as well as be physically able (frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry and wipe) to handle food and operate a rolling cartMaintain a neat appearance and persona that reflects the image of DoorDashOther Requirements: Be willing to go through the customer's background check, and have photo and identification required to process their required building badgeWhat the Food Runner will not do:Situation management when orders get canceled/have missing or incomplete items/do not get delivered/are lateDeliver orders to multiple areas/individual deliveries within the officeDuration : Ongoing Project
