Night Auditor (Full Time)

DescriptionSummary / Job PurposeAudits, balances, and reports on the various areas of the hotel to provide accurate and m financial information on the hotel's operational performance for the day. Oversees front office, front desk operations during the overnight shift.Responsibilities & Job DutiesChecks front office accounting records for accuracy and compiles information for the hotel's financial recordsTracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front operating statisticsPrepares summary of cash, checks, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotels financial performance for the day.Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts. Processes guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers.Verifies all account postings and balancesSummarizes results of operations and prepares reports for management.duties of the front desk agentPerforms other duties as assigned.RequirementsQualifications - Education, Experience, & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentAccounting background preferredPrevious hotel experience desiredStrong customer service orientation and skillsPresent a professional image, and able to communicate well with both guests and employeesAbility to operate front office equipment and computersAbility to compile facts and figuresAbility to understand principles of auditing, balancing and closing out accountsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.Working ConditionsHours will vary. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Works primarily in a climate-controlled setting.RequirementsThe incumbent may have to lift items up to 45 lbs.
