Assistant Project Manager - Central Florida

Assistant Project Manager – Commercial ElectricJob DescriptionAs a member of the Apollo Electrical Services, Inc team, you will oversee aspects of assigned commercial projects. You will successfully support the Project Manager with projects through cost control, documentation management, technical coordination schedule oversight, and field support.Requirements and Key Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)Project AdministrationTrack and manage budgets: labor, materials, equipment, change ordersCoordinate submittals, RFIs, and submittal logsSupport procurement and material releaseSubmittal creation and submissionPurchase order creation and trackingMaintain and understand contract documentationTechnical CoordinationInterpret electrical plans: power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systemsCoordinate with GC, MEP teams, subcontractors, and engineersParticipate in OAC meetings when PM is not available (Owner / Architect / Contractor)Ensure NEC complianceField SupportAssist Superintendents with weekly planningMonitor manpower vs. productivityAssist Superintendents comply with safety standardsFinancial ControlAssist in cost forecasts and budget updatesSupport monthly billing and contract close-out proceduresTrack insurance certificates, lien waivers, and compliance docsSupport monthly billing and pay application preparationPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one timeSome travel to jobsites when PM is not availableWillingness to respond to emergency calls nights/weekends as neededCandidate Profile3 – 5 years minimum construction experience in a similar role, ideally in electrical with a commercial focusAbility to read/understand electrical blueprints/drawingsFamiliarity with software to include: Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, TeamsStrong technical understanding of NEC and construction sequencingExcellent organizational and communication skillsEstimation experience on Conest or AccubidExcellent English communication skills or bilingual (Spanish)Company OffersCareer growth opportunitiesHealth, dental, vision, life and other supplemental insurances401(k) in first 30 daysTravel reimbursement based on company guidelinesPaid vacation and eight paid holidays throughout the yearSalary RangeBased on experience and qualification match $50,000 to $60,000 annually
