Mechanical ForemanThe Mechanical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of HVAC, Utility and Process piping systems including Sub-Contractors.Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Responsibilities include regular attendance at assigned locations, acting as a team leader in the execution of mechanical work safely and with the objective of constructing a best in class product, overseeing and auditing site safety and quality control programs, ensuring all site safety work permits are acknowledged and adhered to, coordinating interface between project management and site operation participants in the execution of construction services, overseeing and coordinating any Sub-Contractors work that may be working under the Mechanical Division, confirming the design intent with architectural, engineering, and consultants in accordance with Standard Project Control requirements, coordinating field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule, attending all trade contractor weekly coordination meetings, coordinating equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements, assisting with coordination and scheduled shut-downs as required to support any associated on-site operational requirements, supporting constructability and value management analysis with best industry practices, assessing trade contractor earned value status with Project Management Team for monthly requisitions, maintaining project as-built documentation and site coordination drawings, establishing work completion and punch lists in accordance with established Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs, ensuring field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings and submittals, supporting interface with Client Representatives on a pro-active customer centric basis, completing associated Superintendent project control requirements in accordance to Corporate Standard Operating Practices and Procedures, supporting field investigation analysis for potential claim / issue resolution practices with Project Team, as required, supporting field close-out, commissioning, and validation requirements as defined with the Project Team, insuring the necessary equipment and materials are always available to support the field team so as to maximize productivity, supervising and participating in the installations of Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Process Fluids, Chemical, Fuel Oil, Gasses, and other related systems, working with materials that include carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, fiberglass, copper, performing layout and develop isometric drawings for piping systems, measuring, cutting, threading or bending pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines, locating and marking the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments, testing pipes or fixtures for leaks using various methods, assembling pipe sections, tubing or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering or brazing equipment, performing proper fit-up of pipe, fittings and flanges for open root butt welding and socket welding, installing pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances or fixtures using hand or power tools, detecting faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifying supervisors, directing helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasks, reading and interpreting blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specifications to determine work details or procedures, maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and quality, insuring proper site housekeeping is always maintained, interacting with co-workers in an attentive courteous manner, and additional duties as directed by management.QualificationsSkills and experience/requirements include ability to work independently and manage a team of pipe fitters, plumbers, welders and apprentices, 10 years of field experience, knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction, attention to detail and quality, being highly focused on customer satisfaction expectations, good documentation and record keeping, preparation of miscellaneous paperwork including time sheets, daily reports and material requests, competency in Permit Required Confined Space, understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), appropriate state certification or license, and OSHA 10 certification. xevrcyc Physical demands include ability to perform tasks in all aspects of construction sites, ability to climb ladders and crawl as needed, ability to work from aerial lifts, ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs. Work environment includes industrial manufacturing facilities, power generating facilities, chemical manufacturing, healthcare & institutional, pharmaceutical facilities including GMP Aseptic and non-Aseptic Areas and Non GMP Areas, commercial and office spaces.
