OverviewThe Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*, the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for the University of Wisconsin-Madison is recruiting for a Agile Business Analyst. The Agile Business Analyst works as an entry-level liaison among stakeholders to solve organizational information problems by gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining software functional requirements, recommending process and system design changes, identifying quality measures, and testing opportunitiesWho is WFAA?The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association is a private, nonprofit corporation that encourages individuals and organizations to make gifts to the university and to connect with the UW. WFAA values people and the differences that they bring to the organization and creates an environment in which all staff members and constituents feel respected and have opportunities to thrive.ResponsibilitiesElicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish true underlying needs from basic user requests. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, delivering the following artifacts as needed: Functional Requirements Documentation, Use Cases, User Stories, Screen and Interface designsWork with users to define concepts independently or under direction of project managers. Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts in the development of system solutions. Participate in the creation and preparation of project plan and project status updates for WFAATaking well crafted meeting notes and distributing to other meeting attendees for validation and updates. Document all work in a manner that meets both business and technical needs. QualificationsRequired Qualifications1 + years of experience in a Business Analyst role Ability to facilitate meetings, including agenda and minute preparationExperience in writing clear and concise Business Analysis documentationExperience with the following tools or their equivalents: Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Axure or similar prototyping toolOther Qualifications: Demonstrated success at effectively translating business and stakeholder requirements into functional specifications and system design parametersDemonstrated success in analyzing business processes and recommending improvementsConceptual familiarity with developing quality assurance measures and tracing them through all levels of testingFamiliarity with agile and traditional systems development life cyclesFamiliarity with standard project management methodologiesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to work towards and meet deadlinesAbility to work multiple projects simultaneously.
