Python Developer

Role overview:We are seeking an excellent, hands-on Python Integration Developer Consultant (New York or Miami) for a six-month engagement focused primarily on the integration between Wall Street Office (WSO), the firm’s framework, and MongoDB-backed integration services for loans and loan TRS. Direct WSO experience is helpful but not required; strong experience supporting the credit, loans, alternative investments, or comparable financial-services line of business is highly relevant. The consultant will work closely with the WSO implementation team, framework owners, downstream technology teams, operations, and vendor representatives to build reliable interfaces, standardize data flows, and support testing through production readiness. This is an execution-focused role for a developer who can work independently, understand complex financial workflows, and deliver production-quality integration and data-processing code in a time-sensitive program. What you will do:Own and deliver integration components connecting WSO Hosted to the framework and its internal services.Design, develop, test, and support Python services, adapters, clients, and batch processes for the WSO implementation.Build and maintain WSO payloads, reports, files, and events into framework conventions, canonical data structures, APIs, and message formats.Work with framework owners to follow established patterns for configuration, logging, scheduling, authentication, secrets, deployment, monitoring, MongoDB persistence, and operational support.Implement reusable integration patterns for authentication, connectivity, request orchestration, polling, file handling, MongoDB persistence, message publication, and downstream acknowledgements. Develop robust handling for retries, asynchronous processing, timeouts, malformed responses, missing files, duplicate files, and other operational exceptions.Implement data mappings and transformations for loan trades, positions, cashflows, P&L, reference data, accounts, counterparties, and related WSO outputs.Own Kafka topic integrations between WSO, the framework, and downstream consumers, including producers, consumers, message schemas, serialization, consumer groups, offsets, retries, and error handling.Review code, contribute to design discussions, and help establish practical engineering standards for the WSO integration codebase. Participate in development, UAT, pre-production, parallel testing, cutover, and early production support. Diagnose integration failures across system boundaries, distinguishing vendor, network, framework, mapping, data-quality, and application defects.Use AI coding tools responsibly to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while following firm security, confidentiality, and code-review requirements. What you bring:4+ years experience developing integration and data-processing solutions in Python. Building adapters, service clients, ETL pipelines, or batch integrations within an enterprise application framework. Experience with REST or SOAP APIs, SFTP, scheduled or batch processing, or comparable enterprise integrations.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases or cloud data platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, or equivalent. Hands-on MongoDB experience, including document modeling, queries, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and data investigation.Experience building validation, reconciliation, data-quality, or reporting automation workflows. Ability to work with large or complex financial datasets and reconcile data across systems.Experience with Kafka topics, producers, consumers, message schemas, consumer groups, offsets, retries, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with Git-based development, code review, CI/CD, and controlled promotion across environments. Experience working with integration frameworks, shared libraries, internal APIs, or platform engineering standards.Experience supporting the credit, loans, leveraged finance, private credit, alternative investments, or a comparable financial-services line of business.Experience with leveraged loans, syndicated loans, private credit, loan TRS, settlements, paydowns, rollovers, amendments, positions, cashflows, or reconciliations.Direct WSO / Wall Street Office experience is a plus, but is not required.
