The successful candidate will leverage their laboratory robotics experience to develop pre-optimized automated sample preparation procedures that improve workflow data quality, increase sample throughput, and reduce time-to-results and labor costs. As an Automation Workflow Engineer, the candidate will be an integral part of the Automation Platform Applications team who will be responsible for:translating manual sample preparation processes as defined by biologists and analytical chemists into automated processes for the AssayMAP and Bravo automated liquid handling platforms to create complete sample preparation applications.fine-tuning existing sample preparation applications in collaboration with customers and business partners to meet evolving customer needscreating intuitive user interfaces for applications that allow scientists and technicians to efficiently prepare their samplesdefining, documenting, and executing test cases that validate the performance of sample preparation applications to ensure out of the box operationcollaborating with technical writers to create comprehensive installation and user documentation for sample preparation applicationsbeing a member of cross-functional teams responsible for launching sample preparation applicationssupporting the resolution of customer-reported issuesQualificationsB.S. or M.S. degree in biological/chemical sciences or biomedical/chemical engineering1-2+ years of relevant experience including hands on work programming automated liquid handling systems from Agilent (preferred), Tecan, Hamilton and/or BeckmanWork independently and be self-motivated but also contribute to the success of multidisciplinary teamsExperience with biotherapeutic drug discovery/development is strongly desiredExperience with LC/MS and related analytical instruments desiredAdditional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
