Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 4 (Cath Lab)

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join the team. Takes calls for and works in other Inova Health System cardiac cath and or electrophysiology labs.Participates in quality improvement initiatives and research protocols incorporating research findings into practice. Consistently communicates/collaborates with the healthcare team members, patients and families to maximize patient outcomes.Appropriately delegates patient care activities to other health care team members and participates in making and revising staff assignments.May perform additional duties as assigned.Additional Requirements:Education - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -OR graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology -OR Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.Experience - Five years of equivalent experience / training, Three years experience at an INOVA cath lab or EP lab. One year at a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 3 level, five - seven years of experience in an interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab or Interventional Radiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties; or 3 years experience at an Inova cath lab or EP lab.Certifications - BLS and ACLS from AHA Upon Start. Registered in one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Radiologic Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiology (RTR VI), Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular (RTR CV) or Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular Interventional (RTR CI) required. Unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
