Position Summary:
Responsible for managing a caseload of applicants applying for Social Security Disability benefits. Duties include using knowledge of Social Security Insurance program to advocate for applicants, as well as provide them education on the program and what to expect.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage a caseload of applicants filing for Social Security Disability
Use critical thinking and Social Security Disability knowledge to help individuals secure disability benefits from SSA
Analyze new referrals, consumer and/or commercial, to identify viable claims for SSDI benefits
Analyze medical evidence to evaluate and support the claim
Explain the benefits of using Allsup services and secure representation forms
Effectively communicate via phone and email with claimants, commercial clients, SSA and other government agencies building, maintaining and cultivating a positive working relationship
Complete and submit relevant SSDI forms for application and/or appeal accurately, timely, and appropriately
Conduct follow up activity with claimants, referring clients, and government agencies
Thoroughly document Allsup case notes with conversations, action plans, and other updates. Update the client’s disability claim file with notes and coding as appropriate
Serve as a SSDI subject matter expert and provide consultation on specific cases for the client’s disability claims teams.
Keep abreast of Social Security Program Changes, industry trends, and news
Support team members with technical questions and share knowledge where able to aide in the development of your peers with their Social Security disability knowledge
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant SSA and/or Allsup experience
Disability claims experience with Allsup, DDS, OHO, SSA, or the insurance industry (LTD/STD) strongly preferred.
Ability to learn, retain and apply information
Must display a high level of initiative and drive to succeed
Excellent customer service skills along with superior written and verbal communication skills
Must possess strong problem solving abilities and be flexible, adaptive and responsive to change
Strong organizational skills
Must be approachable, positive, professional and willing to help others
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and screens simultaneously

The pay range for this role is:
40,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Remote)
