Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionJob SummaryThe Billing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely billing of services across multiple payer sources, ensuring compliance with program requirements and company guidelines. This role manages billing processes, tracks Client authorizations and works closely with internal teams to resolve billing issues or denials. The Billing Specialist helps maintain accurate financial records while supporting efficient operations and a positive experience for Clients and partners.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly billing for Medicaid/MMIS services and enter in MMIS systemProcess weekly billing for Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI)Process weekly billing for Veterans Affairs and related programsProcess weekly billing for Private Pay Clients and prepare invoicesProcess monthly billing for Oregon Project Independence (OPI) ClientsProcess weekly billing for PACE ClientsEnter, process and track Client authorizations and coordinate with Medicaid case managers as neededReview billing for accuracy, identify denials or discrepancies and coordinate with the appropriate team members to resolve and reprocess claims when necessarySupport month-end and year-end close by ensuring billing is completed accurately and within established deadlinesEssential Job Functions (Required to perform with or without reasonable accommodation)Maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendanceStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with othersRespond promptly and professionally to business needs, Client concerns, Caregiver issues, and operational disruptionsMaintain accurate, timely and compliant records and documentsExercise sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsCommunicate clearly and professionally with Caregivers, Clients, families, and internal teams Adhere to all Company policies, confidentiality rules, safety requirements and regulatory obligations including HIPAAWork effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environment, adjusting to shifting priorities and performing the critical day-to-day duties independently with minimal supervisionEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field preferredTwo to three years of billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare billing experience requiredExperience with multiple payer sources such as Medicaid/MMIS, Private Pay, Long Term Care Insurance, VA programs, or similar strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant recordsProficiency with billing software and Microsoft ExcelWorking ConditionsAbility to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (office environment)Ability to operate standard office equipment or tools required for the positionAbility to move about the work areaRequirementsWork Location: 2659 SW 4th St., Redmond, OR 97756Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pmSupervisory Responsibilities: NoRequired Travel: NoAbout UsAt Caring for Others, our mission is to bring compassionate, life-affirming support into every home, helping people maintain the independence and dignity they deserve.
