Associate Electrical EngineerWindsor Mill, MD (Hybrid – 3 days in office)Contract-to-HireWe are seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join the Transmission Engineering team, supporting the planning, design, and delivery of overhead and underground transmission infrastructure across the Greater Baltimore area. This role focuses on high-voltage systems (115 kV, 230 kV, and 500 kV) and offers broad exposure to the full project lifecycle, from scope development through construction support.Associates brought on will work alongside experienced engineers and contract design firms, gaining hands-on experience across both overhead and underground systems. This is an early-career opportunity designed for engineers who are eager to grow within a large utility environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and define scope of work for overhead and underground transmission projects at 115 kV, 230 kV, and 500 kVCoordinate with contract engineering and design firms to complete engineering deliverables and design packagesSupport permitting activities including CPN permit preparation and related documentationAssist with material ordering, tracking, and construction support throughout project executionCollaborate with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as needed during field executionUpdate, maintain, and develop engineering practices, job aids, and technical standardsBuild skills across both overhead and underground transmission disciplines to expand overall project capabilityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering required0–2 years of experience in a transmission, distribution, or power engineering environment preferredExposure to high-voltage system design, overhead line work, or underground cable systems is a plusFamiliarity with engineering drawings, scope documentation, or utility project workflows beneficialStrong analytical and communication skills; ability to coordinate across internal teams and external contractorsEagerness to learn utility engineering practices in a structured, mentorship-driven environmentWhat’s in it for you?A welcoming, team environment where you will be provided an opportunity to work with a Fortune 100 company.
