This position also serves as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, preparing and presenting documentation and responses to auditors (e.g., DCAA, DCMA, PwC) and supporting audit-related inquiries. In addition, the role performs complex labor and payroll analyses, maintains monthly, bi-weekly Pay-to-CO, and annual labor distribution reconciliations using SAP CO/FI and advanced Excel, investigates discrepancies, and partners with cross-functional teams including Government Accounting, Finance, HR, Payroll, ITS, and Audit to ensure the accuracy and integrity of labor-related financial data.The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals, advanced analytical capabilities, and experience supporting labor accounting and compliance processes within a government contracting environment, with the confidence and professionalism to communicate findings clearly to auditors and stakeholders.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct complex labor and payroll data analysis using BI tools, SAP, and advanced Excel within large data models to support ad-hoc analysis, data mining, and reporting.Perform multiple monthly reconciliations, bi-weekly Pay-to-CO reconciliations, and annual labor distribution reconciliations leveraging SAP CO/FI data and advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, large datasets) to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting. Prepare GA and GA-SI quarterly direct labor rate submissions for government reporting, including analysis, documentation, and validation of supporting data.Prepare annual FPRP direct labor rate calculations, performing variance analysis and reviewing underlying data inputs for accuracy and consistency.Perform complex labor accounting analysis, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy of labor distribution and financial results.Support internal and external audit RFIs, including preparation, analysis, and presentation of documentation and responses to auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA, DCMA, and PWC). Maintain and validate labor category mappings and related cost structures.Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts related to labor transactions, supporting reporting and compliance requirements.Translate complex financial and operational data into clear analysis and reporting to support decision-making and stakeholder understanding.Collaborate cross-functionally with Government Accounting, SAP CO/FI, Labor Compliance, FP&A, HR, Payroll, and ITS teams.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel information. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.Must demonstrate a complete understanding of accounting theories, concepts and principles, as well as a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting standards. FAR/CAS knowledge helpful.Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environmentA thorough understanding of applicable federal and state labor laws and regulations is required.Must possess leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.Must be customer focused and possess:the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems;excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including management;the ability to represent the company as a knowledgeable resource on external projects ; and excellent computer skills.Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.Job Type: Full-Time SalarySalary range: 73,700 - 128,780
