Shift SupervisorThe Shift Supervisor is critical to the daily operation of the manufacturing floor at Mebane. The shift supervisor provides leadership and direction to hourly employees and is responsible for driving a safety culture. When planned results are not achieved, the Shift Supervisor is to use the proper WAM tools to provide corrective actions.Apply, coach and train WAM tools and methodology. Apply HERCAs and SRCAs, Responsible for creation and quality assessment of QEWOs, BEWOs. Ensure CILRs are being completed where applicable.The Shift Supervisor manages and schedules all needed overtime and vacation schedules to maintain proper crew sizes to meet production schedulesResponsible for maintaining accurate attendance records for all production and maintenance personnel. Implements discipline memorandums for attendance & performance violations. Utilizes related software for tracking, reporting, and approving employee timesheets.Conducts counseling and coaching sessions with all production and maintenance personnel as needed to improve performanceEnsures plant safety and environmental conformance and performance; proactive in ensuring OSHA compliance in the plantCompletes weekly cycle counts on raw materials to ensure inventory accuracy.Accurately updates the Labor file on a daily basis.Be able and willing to run production equipment and help out on the lines when needed.Be a member of at least 1 WAM Pillar team.Responsible for directing and working closely with Team Leads to maintain or improve safety, schedule compliance, production performances and housekeepingParticipates in employee Performance Evaluation system and completes evaluations when necessary - (AFR) (Temporary Employee and F/T Employee systems)Coordinates the activities of Maintenance and Distribution employees as neededParticipates in developing and implementing employee training plans. Provides related safety and production training, monitor compliance to and enforce all safety and production procedure protocolsManages scrap including Baler area productivity, holding areas, trailers and related documentation; Coordinates with outside vendors as requiredMaintains accurate production data through training, monitoring and compliance to accepted practice.Must know AIMS and be able to use to retrieve production and quality information.Works with shift Maintenance Specialists to determine and or clarify priority of work and BEWOsDotted line responsibility to the Area managers (Mixer, Sheet, Batch, Self Seal, Lamination, Tube, PP, and Maintenance)Escalate issues to the appropriate manager as needed.Works closely with the Human Resources Team.Has shift responsibility for approximately 35 50 employees.Performs shift to shift handoff duties and prepares report accordingly, updates Mebane Metrics report. Other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications and Requirements:High school diploma or the equivalent of a high school education. Prefer an Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field.Three to five years' experience in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to read, write and understand work instructions, WAM, SDS documents, customer specifications,Must be a strong decision maker and comfortable giving people direction. Must be able to multitask and prioritize.Posting Dates:June 24, 2025 - July 9, 2025.The expected compensation range for this role is $63,000.00 -$75,000.00.The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
