Special Education TeacherEmotional Regulation Impairment (ERI) Classroom2026 - 2027 School Year DistrictClaremont Elementary SchoolDESCRIPTIONSpecial Education Teacher, Emotional Regulation Impairment ClassroomPOSITION SUMMARY:Seeking a dynamic individual to work with students in our Emotional Irregulations Class. The ERI class is a specialized educational setting designed for students who are having difficulty with self regulation and managing their emotions and behaviors.These classrooms will have smaller student-teacher ratios and employ specific behavior management strategies in alignment with Board approved curriculum. The goal for this class is to help students develop self-regulation skills and improve their social, emotional, and academic well-being.QUALIFICATIONS:Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Pre K-3, K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher (TOSD) of the Handicap (TOH)Ability to maintain a positive learning environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCompliance with the NJ FIRST ActSuccessful Criminal History ClearanceProof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorizationTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and anyapplicable and collective negotiations agreement.COMPENSATIONIn accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380).
