Job DescriptionWe have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible.As an AWS Lead Software Engineer-Full Stack/Java/SpringBoot/React at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking's Regulatory Technology team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceAdvanced experience designing and building scalable applications using Java and Spring BootAdvanced experience developing modern, responsive user interfaces using ReactHands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, and infrastructure as code using TerraformProven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systemsProficiency across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including design, development, testing, and operational supportStrong hands-on experience with SQL and data-driven application designAbility to define technical strategy, drive best practices, and influence engineering teamsDeep understanding of financial services, regulatory reporting concepts, and enterprise IT systemsFormal software engineering foundation with applied experience and expertise across modern technical domains (e.g., cloud, AI/ML)Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Experience with modern front-end technologies including JavaScript, Angular, or similar frameworksHands-on experience with AWS Glue, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Aurora, and CloudWatchProficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and application developmentExperience leveraging GitHub Copilot for productivity and code generationExperience using Apache Airflow for workflow automation and pipeline managementExperience with Datadog for system monitoring, logging, and performance analysisFamiliarity with JPMorgan Chase tools (Jules/JET, GKP) and strong understanding of regulatory reporting within the financial services industryABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
