The position is the Customer Service Representative performing Flight Service Center (FSC) duties within the Maintenance Support Section. The primary purpose is the point of contact for interfacing with the Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) on behalf of the maintenance customers. Responsibilities include periodic visits to maintenance work centers; providing guidance for maintaining bench, operating, and shop stock; and assisting users in resolving any materiel management related problems; managing supply points, time-change, time compliance technical orders, Due-in From Maintenance (DIFM) management, awaiting parts, turn-around, local manufacture, command intensive management items, quality deficiency report programs, and the Air Force Repair Enhancement Program.RequirementsHelpConditions of employmentThis is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, in the military grade listed in this announcement, required prior to the effective date of placement.Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.QualificationsTHIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREAS OF CONSIDERATION (AOC) 1 & 2 ONLY, WITH PRIORITY GIVEN TO AOC 1.AOC DEFINITIONS:Area 1: Current permanent employees of the South Carolina Air National Guard. (Note-Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC)Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Air National Guard.Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Air National Guard.Min/Max Military Grades: E3-E6Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.Specialized Experience: To be rated qualified for this position your resume must show definitively at least 12months experience in the following- Experience which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
