Job Title: Director of Patient SafetyJob Type: Full TimeLocation: Asheville, NCShift: Days, Mon-FriSalary Range: $125K - $180K/yearRelocation: Case by case basis Job Summary and Qualifications:The Patient Safety Director leads and collaborates in the implementation of the hospital-based patient safety program with the goal of eliminating preventable patient harm while also establishing and sustaining a culture of safety.Major Responsibilities: Systems Thinking and Reliable Design Identification and Mitigation of Patient Safety Risk Safety Culture Advancement Patient Safety Education Partnership with Executive and Clinical Leaders Patient and Family Engagement Measurable Reeducation in Avoidable Harm Risk Management / Claims Activities (if not otherwise assigned)Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field.Preferred Education: Master’s Degree.Required License/Certification: Certified Professional in-Patient Safety. If not already a CCPS, it must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date and maintained while in the role.Experience:Three to five years of healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality (Healthcare experience should be recent and within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.) Clinical background preferred.
