FRAMEWORK FIRST is a fast-growing Modular Home Builder looking for driven and goal-focused individuals to join our team, and we are now seeking an experienced Permit Technician (Official Title: Feasibility Coordinator)! The Permit Technician's primary focus will be gathering information for potential construction projects, specifically the addition of a detached accessory dwelling unit (ADU). The Permit Technician will need to successfully and efficiently obtain information regarding requirements, restrictions and costs for potential ADU projects. Including gathering property information such as water access, credits, sewer, septic, zoning, fees associated with different size ADUs, and other property related information needed. Once the information has been gathered, the Permit Technician will compile, document and format everything utilizing our software and systems to create a Feasibility Study. The Permit Technician needs exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal. This person will be tenacious, persistent, and able to secure results by phone when working with local cities, counties and private entities. The ideal candidate should be confident and outgoing on the phone. Follow up is absolutely essential to success; as well as being familiar with how construction projects start (paperwork & planning). Requirements: High School Diploma or higher Must have significant experience with local jurisdictions for residential construction. (Ex. building & planning department, public works, etc.) Must posses strong verbal & written communication skills, especially by phone. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must be a self-starter who can work independently or with a team. Must follow all of FRAMEWORK FIRST's core values. Must consistently show up to work on time (or early). Roles & Responsibilities: Gather information on requirements, restrictions and costs for potential projects. Responsible for creation of accurate Feasibility Studies in a timely manner. Contact local jurisdictions (such as the building & planning department, public works, etc.) via phone & email. Follow up with local jurisdictions consistently. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude. Live and breathe Framework First's core values. Complete 3-5 Feasibility Studies per week. Fill out End of Day reports. Job Specifics: Location: 1610 Moffett Street, Salinas, CA Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM Pay Range: $28 - $32 per hour, depending on experience & skill. In-Person: In-person with ability to go hybrid after continuous results. Must enjoy a busy, high-energy, and positive atmosphere.
