Two-Year-Old Teacher Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to adapt to various classroom environments. As an assistant Teacher, you will provide support in your classroom, ensuring that all students receive the attention and guidance they need to thrive in their learning journey. This role is essential in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within our educational setting. Duties Support lead teachers by following their lesson plan and assisting in things such as diapering, potty training, carry out activities the lead teacher has planned. Engage with children in in all activities, providing care and supervision while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Assist in the development of individualized education plans for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with early intervention practices. Facilitate literacy education and math activities that encourage cognitive development and critical thinking skills. Conduct classroom management tasks, including maintaining order during lessons and activities. Requirements A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred, along with relevant preschool experience. Experience working with children in daycare, private school settings, or similar environments is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in teaching methodologies including Montessori approaches. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and child welfare standards. Must be able to work a closing shift. If you do not already have your state mandated 45 hours through DCF you will be required to complete within one year. Pass a level 2 background check Pass a drug test.
