As a Clamp Truck Operator, you'll be at the heart of our corrugator operations-ensuring the safe handling of roll stock, supporting production flow, and maintaining an organized and efficient roll room. Your work directly impacts safety, quality, and productivity across the plant.How You Will Contribute:Material Handling & Production SupportDeliver paper rolls to the corrugator, prioritizing butt rolls and ensuring proper documentationRead and interpret corrugator lineups to support production needsEnsure correct size and paper grade rolls are supplied to the wet endAssist Corrugator Operators and support cross-training efforts as neededClamp Truck Operation & SafetySafely operate the clamp truck to load, unload, and transport roll stockComplete daily lift inspections and report maintenance needs promptlyUnload rolls from trailers and railcars, inspecting for and documenting any damageFollow all safety procedures and company policies, including GMP standardsInventory & OrganizationMaintain accurate roll stock records and submit tallies to leadershipMark and return butt rolls with proper specifications (size, diameter, footage, grade)Keep the roll room clean, organized, and audit-readyOperational ExcellenceMaximize equipment utilization and operate at optimal efficiencyFollow daily production schedules to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goalsSupport continuous improvement efforts and maintain strong housekeeping standardsWhat It Takes:High school diploma or GED preferred6+ months of experience in a corrugator wet end environment preferredPrevious experience operating industrial power trucks or heavy equipmentAbility to read production specifications (size, grade, layout)Basic to intermediate computer skills (Outlook, touchscreens, printers)Strong attention to detail and commitment to safetyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shiftFrequent bending, kneeling, and reachingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionallyAbility to sit for extended periods while operating equipmentWork Environment:Exposure to moving mechanical parts and a fast-paced production environmentConditions may include heat, humidity, cold, noise, dust, and vibrationWhy You'll Love Working at Hood Container:Competitive Pay: Starting at $23.50/hourGrowth Opportunities: Learn, develop, and grow within our operations teamTeam Environment: Work alongside experienced leaders and supportive teammatesStability & Impact: Be part of a company where your role directly supports production success
