About This Job
The facilities manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, safety and
continuous improvement of the site's facilities and infrastructure supporting manufacturing
operations at the Bedford and Wilmington, MA sites. This role serves as the primary point of
contact for all facility-related matters and works cross-functionally with operations, engineering,
EHS, and leadership to ensure reliable operation of critical building systems and
manufacturing facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of all facilities, including routine maintenance and
repairs.
Support facility systems required for cleanroom and photodiode fabrication operations,
including process gases, DI water, exhaust systems, vacuum systems, chillers and
environmental controls
Manage and coordinate all contractors, ensuring work is completed on time and to
specifications while meeting all safety and documentation requirements
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for building infrastructure
and utilities
Coordinate maintenance and reliability activities for manufacturing support infrastructure
to minimize production downtime
Maintain facility documentation including layouts, utility maps, maintenance records,
and compliance documentation
Oversee building systems including HVAC, cleanroom environmental controls,
compressed air, process gases, DI water systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire
protection, security systems and manufacturing support utilities
Partner with EHS and Quality teams to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental,
and internal safety requirements.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams on facility requirements for equipment
installations, relocations, and process improvements
Monitor utility capacity and infrastructure readiness to support future manufacturing
growth
Assist with permitting, inspections, and interactions with local authorities and utility
providers.
SPECIALIST FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE
Experience supporting cleanroom manufacturing environments; semiconductor,
photonics, microelectronics, medical device, or similar regulated manufacturing
environments preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, utility layouts, and technical
documentation
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety compliance requirements
Computer skills using MS Office and database tools
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or
related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
5-10 years of facilities, maintenance, or construction management experience
