Electrical Systems Test Engineer
A leading global automotive organization is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, validation, and confirmation testing of electrical systems and components. This role is responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical tools to ensure product designs meet performance, safety, regulatory, and internal standards prior to production release.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on testing experience, the ability to interpret complex technical data, and the capability to communicate findings clearly across engineering teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop test plans, procedures, and specifications to evaluate design feasibility and product performanceConduct confirmation and validation testing for electrical parts and components within assigned specialty areaSet up, calibrate, and prepare test equipment and environments for moderately complex testing activitiesCreate and manage test data settings, schedules, and documentation standardsExecute testing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and repeatability of test resultsAnalyze and interpret test data to predict performance, identify failure modes, and assess design robustnessDocument and summarize test findings in technical reports and formal presentationsIdentify design issues and propose countermeasures or design modifications based on test outcomesCollaborate with design, development, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issuesEnsure all testing aligns with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectationsDetermine need for additional testing based on results and engineering judgmentRequired Qualifications:3–6 years of test engineering experience in automotive or related engineering fieldBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BS in EE required)Strong understanding of engineering principles and test methodologiesExperience developing and executing test procedures for electrical components/systemsAbility to analyze technical data and translate results into actionable engineering recommendationsExperience preparing technical documentation and presenting findings to engineering teamsFamiliarity with test equipment setup, data acquisition systems, and validation processesPreferred Skills:Experience in automotive electrical systems testingKnowledge of regulatory and internal validation standardsStrong problem-solving skills with ability to identify root cause and countermeasuresAbility to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Information:Role requires strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation practicesCandidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering development environmentOpportunity to contribute to next-generation automotive electrical system developmentLocation: ADC Raymond, OHDuration: 12-month contract + extensionOnsite: ~minimum 4 days per weekSubmit resume to No 3rd party agencies or C2CAbel Lara | 408.550.2800 x119
