DescriptionThe Busser position is essential to restaurant operations and guarantees efficient service as well as a clean and welcoming dining environment for guests to enjoy. This position will interact with both culinary and service staff and guests, so excellent communication skills and the desire to deliver exceptional customer service is a must. Essential Job Responsibilities:Daily set-up and breakdown of deck and Bavarian beer garden equipment, including stacking of deck furniture or sheltering umbrellas in anticipation of inclement weather. Quickly and efficiently clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables. Dispose of food waste, liquids, recyclables, and landfill trash items in the proper bins. Promptly sanitize tables to prepare for incoming guests. Set or reset tables with plates, silverware, glassware, etc. as needed. Keep dining areas clean and organized, spot-cleaning floors when necessary. Communicate product shortages, supply needs, and operational concerns to management. Assist with general tasks such as product restocking, trash and recycling removal, reshelving clean service ware. Work collaboratively with all restaurant staff to ensure a positive guest experience. Follow health and safety regulations and restaurant policies. Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Knowledge:Previous experience in a restaurant is a plus. Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire.Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while performing duties. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Work Environment: Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment with extreme elements. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or high UV conditions. 100% of the time may be spent being exposed to the outdoors, including winter weather conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff. Physical Demands of Position Include: Will often lift and carry up to 35 pounds and may team-lift up to 100 pounds. 80-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, and verbal communication. Ability to acclimate to a high-altitude environment. Background Check:Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check.
