This role requires an experienced individual capable of managing multiple aspects of press operations, including machine setup, routine maintenance, and quality control. The successful candidate will ensure that printing projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and safely, adhering to strict specifications and deadlines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume environment while demonstrating technical expertise and leadership qualities.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience operating a 40" web press, with a strong understanding of press machinery and printing processes. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting are essential, along with solid mathematical skills for precise machine setup and color matching. Experience in ink mixing and familiarity with printing industry standards are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Prior experience with specific equipment such as Baker-Perkins or Hantscho presses and knowledge of AIB standards will be considered advantageous.ResponsibilitiesOperate web press equipment, including folders, stackers, and roll stands, according to detailed job tickets and work orders.Coordinate with the production team to manage workload schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.Perform routine maintenance on press machinery, including daily, weekly, and monthly checks, and document all activities in technical logs.Monitor inventory levels of essential press supplies such as inks, chemicals, and paper, and communicate needs to supervisors proactively.Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, SDS chemical handling guidelines, and food safety standards (AIB) to maintain a safe working environment.Assist in training and mentoring junior press operators, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.BenefitsOur client offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of their employees.
