This position is 100% onsite in Friendswood, TX.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or EA preferredProven experience as a Tax Accountant in Public Accounting, that wants to work with Private ClientsStrong knowledge of tax laws and complianceProficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft ExcelStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet deadlines and work independentlyBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefitsCareer growth opportunitiesFast-paced, supportive work environmentFull Over Time PayResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to be a Tax Manager to ensure tax compliance, prepare filings, and assist in developing tax strategiesLead strong client relationships on tax consulting engagementsAdvising Private clients on issues including partnership and corporate state / local tax returnsCoordinating with clients' internal tax leadershipSubstantive review of estimated payment, withholding and composite tax calculations, investor packages and tax return complianceResearching and analyzing state tax legislation for applicability to clientsLeading engagement workflow and supervising consultants and interns on assigned engagementsMentorship and development of talent in a diverse and inclusive workplaceYou’ll work closely with management and other departments to assess tax implications of business decisionsCPA preferredPrepare and file federal, state, and local tax returnsEnsure compliance with tax laws and regulationsAssist in financial statement preparation and ensure accuracyDevelop tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilitiesMaintain tax-related documentation for auditsConduct tax research and provide recommendationsCollaborate with finance, legal, and other departments on tax-related matters
