The solution integrates seamlessly with major ATS and VMS systems, supports custom workflows and white-labeled branding, and provides access to more than 20 million global talents in a unified recruitment ecosystem.Role Description As a Java Web Developer at HummingBird, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications that power our AI-driven talent platform. You will work on full life-cycle development, including implementing new features, optimizing existing services, and integrating with external ATS/VMS and other third-party systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable Java code, collaborating with product and UX teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring application performance, security, and reliability. You will participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues in production and test environments, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, DC.QualificationsStrong programming skills, with experience in Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful services, APIs, and database integration.Experience in general Web Development, preferably within modern frameworks and responsive architectures.Background in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, and agile methodologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and data privacy considerations.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
