Who we are:Ferroglobe is one of the world's leading suppliers of silicon metal, silicon-based and manganese-based specialty alloys and ferroalloys, serving a customer base across the globe in dynamic and fast-growing end markets, such as solar, automotive, consumer products, construction and energy.Learn more about our Transformation Story here: Who we areThe People & Culture Manager (P&C) will lead P&C operations at the Waterford facility, serving as a strategic partner to plant leadership and overseeing all P&C functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, training, and workforce development. This position requires strong leadership capability, a hands-on approach, and experience supporting both hourly and salaried teams in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipPartner with plant leadership to develop and execute P&C strategies aligned with operational and organizational goals.Advise management on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent development.Support change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.Employee Relations & CultureFoster a positive work environment that promotes communication, collaboration, and employee engagement.Serve as the primary resource for resolving employee concerns, conducting investigations, and supporting corrective actions.Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.Talent Acquisition & RetentionAssist with recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions.Develop strategies to reduce turnover and attract skilled talent.Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and integration into the facility.Compliance & P&C AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies, and safety standards.Manage P&C reporting, audits, and document retention requirements.Assist in the oversight of processes related to FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other leave programs.Training & Workforce Development* Identify training needs and coordinate required programs, including safety, leadership development, and skills training.* Support succession planning and career development initiatives.Compensation, Benefits & Payroll SupportAdminister corporate compensation programs and support annual wage reviews.Assist employees with benefits inquiries and open enrollment activities.Partner with payroll and corporate P&C to ensure accurate employee data and timekeeping.Safety & Plant Collaboration* Collaborate closely with the plant safety team on incident investigations, communications, and proactive safety initiatives.* Participate in plant committees, leadership meetings, and cross-functional projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.5+ years of progressive P&C experience, with at least 2 years in a P&C leadership or management role.Strong knowledge of employment law, P&C best practices, and regulatory compliance.Experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial workforce.Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.Ability to influence and work effectively at all organizational levels.PreferredP&C certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).Experience working with union environments (if applicable to Waterford operations).Knowledge of HRIS systems and data-driven P&C decision-making.Working Environment* Mainly office environment but on occasion (when needed) go into the plant* Occasionally wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)What We OfferWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Basic Life, Voluntary Life and LTD, Employer 401k Match and paid time off.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / DisabledMonday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern
