Join Our Team as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist Are you ready to elevate your career in cardiovascular health? As a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist with specialized Electrophysiology (EP) experience, you will play a key role in life-saving procedures! About the Role: - Be a part of a dedicated team in the dynamic environment of the Catheterization Lab. - Prepare the lab and operate essential equipment like fluoroscopy and digital imaging. - Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements. - Maintain stringent aseptic technique to guarantee patient safety. - Collaborate closely with medical professionals to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency. Responsibilities: - Uphold OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Promote the Organizational Principles of Catholic Healthcare: - Solidarity, Holistic Care, Respect for Human Life, Participatory Community, Mutual Respect, Stewardship. - Conduct daily checks and ensure all equipment is operational. - Manage supplies and ensure room configurations are optimal for procedures. - Collaborate with the procedure team for seamless patient care. - Record hemodynamic measurements and ensure proper documentation throughout procedures. - Position patients safely and securely for each procedure. - Train in operating cutting-edge cath lab technology. - Scrub for procedures with a focus on physician support and patient safety. - Maintain high standards in infection control and patient communication. - Act as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use. - Engage in team knowledge-sharing to foster collaboration. - Support patient transport when needed. Job Requirements: - Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, or equivalent. - Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field required; Bachelor's preferred. - 0-1 year experience in acute care preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required. - Desired certifications include Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or similar. - State Licensure is required based on modality (Texas: MRT or LMRT by TMB).
