Join Buckelew Programs and play a pivotal role in making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in the North Bay.We are hiring a new Licensed Clinician for the Orenda Center, a substance use treatment in an innovative residential and detoxification facility for adults. In this role, you will provide clinical oversight and direct support to clients and program staff, including counselors. This position offers individual and group supervision, case consultation, and professional development to counseling staff, ensuring services are delivered in alignment with licensing regulations, agency policies, and contractual obligations. The Licensed Clinician plays a key role in promoting high-quality care, contributing directly to a positive client experience and a workplace culture rooted in Buckelew’s mission and values.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments for Medi-Cal clients and provide individual and group counselingEnsure documentation meets medical necessity and Medi-Cal compliance standardsMaintain clinical records in accordance with Medi-Cal and agency requirementsUse multiple Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for all clinical documentationParticipate in clinical team meetings and staff development activitiesProvide individual and group supervision to counselors and staffSupport case consultation, review treatment plans, and assess diagnoses using ASAM criteriaFacilitate evidence-based therapy groups such as DBT, Seeking Safety, or others as appropriateMaintain knowledge of Buckelew Programs’ policies and procedures and become familiar with community-based health, legal, and social service resourcesAssist with additional clinical service support as neededQualificationsEducation and ExperienceMust be licensed as an MFT, LCSW, or psychologist in the state of CaliforniaA minimum of two years of post-licensure experience requiredFive or more years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred, including crisis management and treatment of a range of child and adult mental health disordersAt least two years of supervisory or administrative experience preferredExperience with evidence-based and best practice treatment modalities including CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, PCIT, or similar approachesExperience working with multicultural populations strongly preferredSkills And AbilitiesFluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferredStrong clinical judgment, professional boundaries, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary teamSkilled in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level or higherExperience with multiple EHR systems preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external stakeholdersFlexible, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environmentCommitted to working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challengesValid California driver’s license, insurable driving record, and access to an insured personal vehicleAbility to pass Live Scan fingerprint background checkBenefits: Health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, FSAs for health, dependent care and transit costs, retirement savings plan with match, EAP, access to up to 6 weeks of paid time off and continuing education credits available through our learning management system.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, promotes equality, and fosters inclusion.
