Responsible for the slaking process quality and timing while supervising proper distribution of slurry. Oversees preventive maintenance of the slurry system, conducts quality control testing, and resolves site issues with contractors.Responsibilities & ExpectationsFollow company safety procedures and policies in accordance with regulations.Maintain accurate paperwork (safety pre-shift, equipment PMs, daily and monthly reports).Report potential operational or safety problems to supervision.Perform all work in a neat, orderly manner, adhering to safety rules.General cleanup of operational areas, operating front-end loader and other equipment for cleanup.Lubricate and perform minor repairs of conveying equipment.Assist maintenance and other personnel in filling vacancies for routine duties.Unload rail cars/trucks, mix lime and water at proper ratios, operate slurry equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain a current Texas driver's license with a safe and clean driving record.Be available for out-of-town work as needed.AttributesMechanical knowledge of machinery.Extremely dependable and dependable attendance.Excellent attendance and customer focus.Work shift across seven days a week, including holidays, with flexibility for overtime.Strong compliance and safety orientation.Effective communication and interaction with supervisors and peers.Operates small mobile and stationary equipment.Receptive to overtime; work up to seven days a week, 12–14 hour days.Can work in dust-laden areas with provided safety protection.Can work outside in severe weather conditions.Physical DemandsWork outside in severe weather conditions and industrial high temperature, noise, and dust.Exposure to lime and steam that could burn.Walk up and down stairs/ladders, negotiate uneven surfaces.Occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs.Required EducationHS/GED Diploma.Required ExperienceMinimum 1 year heavy industrial experience; Lhoist North America preferred.BenefitsLhoist North America offers a competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) retirement savings plan with generous employer match and supplemental contribution based on years of service.
