Tobacco Compliance Officer (FDA CTP Program)

Computer Evidence Specialists is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer’s compliance with federal regulations. Inspectors are required to be current Nebraska law enforcement officials. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual’s schedule. An ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a flexible schedule. Duties/Responsibilities: · Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify provided site address · Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers · Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products · Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable · Review retailers for compliance of advertising & labeling signage Required qualifications/skills: · Must be a current Nebraska law enforcement official with a valid Peace Officer’s license · Reliable transportation · All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session · Attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines and privacy · Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). · Learn more about this program by visiting: http://www.fda.gov/TobaccoProducts Work Location: · On the road Job Types: · Part-time, Contract Pay: · Competitive hourly pay rate · Mileage reimbursement Schedule: · Flexible Schedule · Weekend availability Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Schedule: Choose your own hours Weekends as needed Application Question(s): Are you a current law enforcement official?
