Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care - Assistant Director of Nursing Position SummaryAs a key member of the Nurse Leadership Team, the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a vital role within the Linden Health Center at Wake Robin by supporting the Director of Nursing in ensuring high-quality, compassionate, and well-coordinated care for residents. The ADON provides clinical leadership, operational oversight, and staff support while fostering a collaborative, resident-centered care environment. This role supports residents, families, and staff across clinical, administrative, and operational functions to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence in care delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing nursing services to ensure high-quality resident care.Provide clinical leadership and oversight to nursing staff, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.Support coordination of care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure residents’ needs are met holistically.Participate in staff education, coaching, performance management, and competency validation.Assist with regulatory compliance, audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.Serve as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families, addressing concerns with professionalism and compassion.Help manage staffing, scheduling, and operational needs in a skilled nursing environment.Support admissions, discharges, care planning practices, and ongoing resident assessments. QualificationsCurrent RN license in good standing.Demonstrated experience in skilled nursing and long-term care.Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and support staff.Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
