Civil Engineering Project Manager
Our client, a growing company based in SC, dedicated to excellence and innovation in logistics and transportation, is looking for a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their team.The Civil Engineering Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of projects to meet client expectations. This role involves managing efforts from the internal teams, third-party consultants, and construction contractors. You will oversee quality control, review designs, and maintain schedules and budgets.This position will play a key role in developing bid and cost strategies. It will also be responsible for estimating the life cycle and executing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and project management.This role is open to remote candidates located in the Southeast. Candidates must be willing to travel ~15%.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:Perform cost analysis, cost controls, and reporting for Logistics/Civil Engineering projects.Collaborate with Engineering and routing teams to define project scope and requirements.Prepare cost data for proposals and support contract negotiations.Organize, monitor, and control project costs in line with contractual requirements and company procedures.Provide financial reporting and trending data to stakeholders.Proactively alert management to forecasted costs exceeding approved budgets.Liaise effectively with suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of the proposed scope of work.Manage consultants and contractors throughout project execution.Utilize survey designs and LiDAR data interpolation.Prepare and review construction drawings for various transport projects.Provide on-site support for high-risk logistics projects.Engage with governing bodies such as DOT and Counties as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS:A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling in the civil engineering field preferredFunctional knowledge of cost accounting.Familiarity with logistics/civil engineering processes and materials.Complete understanding in all drone operations.Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, colleagues, and regulatory representatives.Willingness to travel; approximately 2-3 days per week once per month.Experience with AutoCAD;.Familiarity with ArcGIS and AutoTURN/Vehicle Tracking.Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.For confidential consideration please email careers@forgesc.com or apply directly!
