Director of Finance

Finance DirectorOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Director with strong cost-based accounting experience to focus on internal costs, improve financial processes, and drive profitability. This individual will oversee cost accounting functions, lead financial strategy, and partner across departments to provide accurate analysis that supports informed decision-making and process improvements. Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costs, manufacturing costs, and variances Oversee month-end reporting, P&L statements, and financial statement reviews Provide detailed cost analysis to support management decisions and profitability improvement Develop and enforce financial guidelines, policies, and procedures Support cross-functional teams in operations, purchasing, and supply chain to ensure cost accuracy Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and internal controls Manage external audits and ensure GAAP compliance Partner with executive leadership to communicate financial insights and opportunities Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting software Strategic thinker with hands-on ability to analyze details and deliver measurable results Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization What the Role OffersCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package (including 401(k) with match) Opportunity to contribute to process improvement and long-term financial strategy Collaborative, inclusive work environment with exposure to cross-functional operations Career growth potential within a growing organization
