Keeper Security is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to design, build, and own integrations between Keeper’s platform and third-party systems. This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

About the Role
As a Lead Integrations Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for integrations across Keeper’s platform. You will design integration patterns, implement new integrations, maintain existing ones, and ensure all integrations meet enterprise standards for security, reliability, and scalability. This is a hands-on technical leadership role and is not a people-management position. You will work closely with platform engineers, product managers, and partner teams to deliver integrations that operate reliably in production environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power product integrations
Lead implementation of integrations with external platforms and enterprise systems
Define and enforce integration patterns, API contracts, and best practices
Own authentication, authorization, and secure data exchange for integrations
Build and maintain integration configuration and management interfaces using React where needed
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues involving external systems and partner APIs
Review code and provide technical guidance to engineers contributing to integrations
Partner with Product and customer-facing teams to align integrations with real-world use cases
Requirements
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend development experience in Java
Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems or partner APIs
Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures
Experience with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API tokens, or service accounts
Ability to debug and reason across distributed systems
Comfortable providing technical leadership and making architectural decisions
Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks for configuration or admin interfaces
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Due to the role’s involvement with GovCloud environments, candidates must be a U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IAM, security platforms, or regulated environments
Familiarity with CI/CD systems and cloud platforms
Experience contributing to shared frameworks or platform tooling

5. International Transfers
Your data may be accessed by Keeper entities globally as needed for the purposes of hiring and decision making. We protect any such data transfer between Keeper entities using appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection laws.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, consistent with our industry leading security standards.
7. Retention
We keep your data for 24 months from your last application activity, then delete or anonymize it.
Exceptions:
You opt into our talent database for further retention by providing consent (extended retention)
You're hired (transfers to employee records)

If you become an employee, your rights regarding your employee record are governed by our internal Employee Privacy Notice and certain data will be retained as required under relevant laws such as employment or tax law.
