Maintenance Technician

We are a family-owned business with big impact, serving industries from dairy and produce to health and beauty.We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Essential Job FunctionsPerform routine preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and safetyDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production linesRespond to maintenance service calls and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtimeRead and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to troubleshoot and repair systemsOperate machine tools and hand tools to fabricate, modify, or repair parts and structuresLog maintenance activities and ensure accurate recordkeepingAssist in the installation, relocation, or removal of manufacturing equipmentComply with safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and hazard communication standardsCollaborate with production staff and engineering teams to resolve recurring equipment issuesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancementsPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: 2+ years of relevant machining experienceTechnical Skills: Understanding of Controls HMI, Conveyor Systems, Low Pressure Boiler Systems Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred: Welding experience, Arc Class Certification Physical Requirements & EnvironmentMobility: Frequently required to stand and walkStrength: Ability to lift and move up to 35 poundsVision: Requires close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focusEnvironment: Work takes place in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noiseArena is an equal opportunity employer.
