IT Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tier 3 IT Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for enterprise systems, infrastructure, networks, and business-critical applications. This role serves as the highest level of internal IT escalation, responsible for resolving complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving long-term solutions that improve system stability and performance. Tier 3 engineers typically handle escalated incidents beyond the scope of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support. Duties and Responsibilities · Advanced Technical Support: Resolve complex, escalated technical incidents across enterprise systems and infrastructure. · Root Cause Analysis: Perform detailed RCA and implement permanent corrective actions. · Infrastructure Support: Maintain servers, networks, cloud systems, and enterprise applications. · Major Incident Response: Participate in on-call and lead critical incident resolution efforts. · System Enhancements: Implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes. · Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and business units. · Knowledge Transfer: Develop documentation and mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams. · Performance Monitoring: Analyze trends and improve system reliability. · Documentation: Maintain configurations, incidents, and compliance records. · Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement IT process and system enhancements. Competencies / Qualifications Technical expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft 365 (O365), and enterprise systems. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. Experience with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms. Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 5+ years experience in IT support or infrastructure roles.
