Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will be responsible for: Design products such as machines with minimal assistance Use computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product Ensure effective communication with customers, project managers, and team members in machine build in respect to the customer's requirements Provide support during the manufacturing and machine assembly Support and train other mechanical engineers and engineering techs Perform other related duties as assigned Experience Preferred Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics Proficient in 3D CAD (Inventor & SolidWorks is advantageous) Ability to create 3D models of working machines Ability to run FEA on structural components Ability to complete complex analysis and calculations 5+ years of automotive industry machine design Education Required Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field Behaviors Required Innovative: Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
