Allied Health Professional // Interventional Radiology $1,491 weekly stipends $17.00 - $20.43/hour $612.0 - $735.48 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 6/01/2026 14 weeks Day Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week Departments: Radiology Interventional Job Title: Rad Tech-IR Specialty: Interventional Radiology Job Description Assumes responsibility for the operation of the heart catheterization laboratory suite. Operates diagnostic fluoroscopy and various types of cardiac equipment, monitors patient vitals, performs routine calculations, circulates, and assists the physician during the procedure upon request. Prepares the procedure rooms, equipment, and patient for the procedure. Acts as liaison to the hospital Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Education Associate degree in radiologic sciences. Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences (preferred). Experience 2 years of experience as an allied health professional. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to be detail-oriented, perform complex tasks which may be hazardous to patient welfare and detect equipment malfunctions. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal/external visitors in a highly stressful atmosphere. Ability to learn new procedures. Knowledge of and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory radiation requirements. Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability). Job Duties Assist the team in patient setup and prep before procedures and take down/clean up post-procedure. Document procedures in logs for accurate billing and charge capture. Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of patient during procedure and report values to performing physician. Monitor delivery of radiation dose to patient to achieve safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff. Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in PACS. Perform quality control, maintain fluoroscopy equipment and perform regular maintenance. Adapt behavior to specific patient population with respect for privacy and communication style. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical and Environmental Demands Requires exertion of 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly. Requires frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and handling of equipment. Exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
