Overview
Transdev is the largest private sector operator of multiple modes of passenger transit in North America, providing bus, rail, paratransit, shuttle sedan and taxi services. We are seeking an IT Specialist to support the IT Department and the (IT) Manager for East Bay Paratransit. The Specialist will work with department staff, operational personnel, and senior management, and is responsible for the management of the East Bay Paratransit infrastructure and software support.
Wages: $25.00–$31.84 per hour.
Responsibilities
Familiar with multiple-site operations, LAN and WAN technologies
Install, configure, and maintain workstations
Assist in maintenance of network and servers
Inventory of workstations and other IT equipment
Troubleshoot Windows 11 related software issues
Support & troubleshoot EBPT production software & servers
Provide strong professional customer service
Printer, fax and other peripherals support and maintenance
Consult with and advise management on operational system problems
Assist in the troubleshooting of help‑desk calls/tickets/emails
Support public meetings held at office meeting rooms
Routine and emergency maintenance visits to EBPT office
Remote support for our 5 providers
Scheduled after‑hours/on‑call support
Other duties as assigned
Participate in a biweekly 24‑hour, 7‑day on‑call rotation
Qualifications
1+ years of work experience in IT environments
Ability to work without supervision
Learn/support proprietary applications
Self‑motivated
Excellent communication skills
Education & Technical Certifications (Required)
Associate’s Degree, CompTIA A+, or equivalent experience
Education & Technical Certifications (Preferred)
Microsoft Server 2016 – 2025
Active Directory
Windows 11
Microsoft Office and O365
Dell Servers & Lenovo Workstations
Genesys
Physical Demands
Requires travel to provider locations within the area
Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or support needs
Drug‑Free Workplace
