Lending Assistant
Description:
Assist loan officers with processing loans and opening accounts. Review submitted applications for accuracy and completion and request additional information or detail as needed. Responsible for the performance of, but not limited to, the following:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Review loan documents for accuracy for each loan type
Prepare packages with correct and completed documents to minimize collateral exceptions
Open commercial and deposit accounts
Handle correspondence for lenders, if necessary
Transmit wires
Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service to customers, on phone and in person
Be knowledgeable of all deposit accounts and loan types
Update monthly/weekly loan rates
Process and close loans when needed
Work monthly officer exception report to clear any outstanding collateral exceptions
Request financials and other needed documents for loan process
Help maintain efficient standards of the department; be aware of department budget; and help to stay within established guidelines
Assist officers and co-workers with all aspects of lending.
Responsible for complying with BSA policies and procedures

Education and Experience
2 years+ banking experience
1 year+ lending experience (preferred)
