Family Law Associate
Hoge Fenton, a distinguished multi-service law firm, headquartered in downtown San Jose, is seeking a Family Law Associate to join our Family Law group.The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience practicing law in a private firm setting and a demonstrated interest in providing advice and counsel to clients with a broad spectrum of family law issues. Successful candidates will have experience representing clients before judicial officers and in mediations, drafting discovery, drafting pleadings, preparing financial disclosures, working with experts, and conducting settlement negotiations. This person will collaborate with others in the family law group to achieve the best possible results for our clients.RequirementsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the State Bar of California4+ years of legal experience and a demonstrated interest in Family LawDemonstrated ability to handle client matters independently and effectivelyProven ability to collaborate with other attorneys and experts to identify legal issues and plan case strategiesExcellent written and oral communication skills, especially in court settingsKey ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in all aspects of family law cases, including complex financial issues, custody, and domestic violence.Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detailPrepare for and engage in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trials to achieve favorable outcomes for clientsCollaborate closely with colleagues in our family law group to deliver the best resultsParticipate in ongoing professional development and community engagementLocation This position can be based in any of our offices: Silicon Valley (downtown San Jose), Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), or Peninsula (San Mateo). Travel between locations may be necessary.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $245,000.
