Job SummaryResponsible for evaluating blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to prepare accurate estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Applies industry knowledge, methodologies, and cost-analysis techniques to support competitive bidding and project planning.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely estimates for utility work, mass excavation, concrete, and lime stabilization projectsReview drawings, specifications, maps, and addenda to ensure estimates align with engineering and design requirementsPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with project schedulingSupport processing of T&M (Time & Materials), change orders, billings, and AIA contractsMonitor project production and track associated costsMaintain and update supplier pricing; obtain competitive quotes as neededAnalyze risk factors and assess pre-existing site conditions for each projectVisit job sites as required for site evaluation and data collectionParticipate in pre-construction meetings with project managers and field teamsMust-Have Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent training and/or relevant experienceProficiency in construction-related software and tools:Microsoft Excel & OutlookHCSS Heavy BidBluebeamAGTEKStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret construction drawings and technical documentsEffective communication and collaboration skillsBenefitsMedical insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Dental and vision coverageShort-term disability insuranceLife insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) with company matching
