TheDepartment of Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeonsseeks an experiencedpulmonologistto join a new, large multi-specialty medical practice inWestchester White Plains ,adjacent to New York City . We are recruiting for the following positions:Assistant Clinical Level:Mid-career pulmonologistAssociate Clinical Level:Experienced pulmonologistThese roles offer the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and growing practice.Responsibilities (Both Levels):Deliver exceptional, specialized patient care with consistently excellent outcomes.Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional development and growth.Contribute to departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and patient safety efforts.Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and maintain relevant advanced certifications.Serve as a trusted resource for complex cases and high-acuity patients.Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction scores.Meet or exceed productivity targets.Additional Responsibilities (Associate Clinical Level):Lead initiatives to improve clinical workflows, patient outcomes, or healthcare delivery systems (e.g., practice-based improvement projects).Act as a liaison between clinical staff and organizational leadership, ensuring alignment of goals.Oversee clinical teams or programs, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Mentor peers and junior physicians in clinical care, leadership, and professional development.Represent the department or institution in professional or public-facing roles.Criteria for Promotion to Associate Clinical Level:Demonstrated leadership roles, such as program director, committee chair, or project lead.Evidence of sustained clinical excellence and innovation in practice.Significant contributions to institutional goals through service, leadership, or advocacy.Strong endorsements from peers, department leaders, and institutional leadership.Consistently high patient satisfaction scores.Achievement of or exceeding productivity targets.Candidates must hold an MD degree, must be fellowship trained in Pulmonary, must be board certified/eligible in Pulmonary and possess or be eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License. Assistant Clinical Pulmonary position candidates must have 0-5 Years Post Graduate Training or a seasoned physician for the Associate Clinical Pulmonary position candidates must possess 5-10 Years Post Graduate Training.Westchester Countyis a beautiful suburban area with easy access to New York City.From the beauty of the Hudson River to picturesque main streets, to historic homes and gardens, to cutting-edge culinary innovation to scenic trails, natural beauty, and some of the top schools in the country, all make Westchester County a great place to work and live.The salary range for this position is $344,670 - $413,604. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
