Field Operations Coach (DMV Market)
Location: Washington DC, Maryland, VirginiaReports To: Senior Director of Training OperationsCompensation: $85,000 annual base salary + performance-based bonusPosition SummaryThe Field Operations Coach (FOC) is responsible for driving operational performance, brand standards, and financial results across assigned restaurants in the DMV market. This role partners directly with franchisees and General Managers to improve execution, increase sales, and ensure consistency across all locations. This is a hands-on role focused on coaching, accountability, and turning around underperforming restaurants.Core ResponsibilitiesOperations Brand ExecutionConduct routine restaurant visits to evaluate cleanliness, food quality, and service standardsEnsure strict adherence to brand standards, food safety, and operational proceduresReinforce core initiatives including order accuracy, speed of service, and guest experienceCoaching & Team DevelopmentTrain and coach General Managers and leadership teamsValidate manager certifications (stations, ServSafe, training completion)Provide real-time coaching and follow-up action plansSales Growth & Catering DevelopmentPartner with operators to drive top-line sales through local store marketing and community engagementBuild and execute catering strategies, including outreach to local businesses, schools and organizationsSupport implementation and adoption of catering platforms and processesCoach teams on in-store sales driving behaviors, upselling, and guest engagementIdentify opportunities to increase traffic, frequency, and average checkAccountability & Performance ManagementComplete Leadership & Operations Reviews (LARs) and submit recaps within 48 hoursHold operators accountable to operational standards and sales-driving initiativesIdentify underperforming locations and implement action plansEscalate ongoing performance issues when necessaryNew Openings & TurnaroundsSupport new restaurant openings and training executionLead support for underperforming or high-risk locationsAssist with relaunches and operational improvementsTravel & ScheduleFrequent travel required across DMV marketFlexible schedule including nights and weekendsMust be available to work weekends as part of a regular scheduleMinimum expected work week of 50 hours based on business needsIncreased presence in underperforming locations (multiple visits per week if needed)Qualifications3–5+ years of multi-unit restaurant experienceStrong understanding of restaurant operations and sales driversProven leadership and coaching abilityQSR or fast-casual experience preferredServSafe certified (or willing to obtain)Key Success MetricsSales growth across assigned locationsCatering revenue growthGoogle rating improvement (target 4.5+)Training and checklist completion complianceReduction in audit violationsWhat This Role DrivesStrong, consistent restaurant executionIncreased sales and catering performanceBetter-trained and more accountable managersStabilization of underperforming locations within 30–60 days
