Part-Time Business Management Instructor (Remote & In-Person)
Position Overview
Position title: Part‑Time Fiduciary Management Instructor
Salary: $75 per hour on instruction
Anticipated start: Fall 2026

Position Description
Eligibility: Candidates will be eligible to teach courses in the Business Management Program, Entrepreneurship Program, and Micro MBA program.
Courses include:
Essentials of Business Management
Strategic Leadership for a Changing World
Marketing Principles and the Marketing Plan
Financial Reporting
International Finance
Entrepreneurial Sales and Marketing
Finance for Entrepreneurs
Managing Entrepreneurial Operations
Micro MBA
Responsibilities
Provide instruction in accordance with the established instructional agreement, curriculum outlines, and class schedule.
Communicate teaching objectives, learning outcomes, and grading policies to students.
Design interactive and motivational classroom activities that engage participants.
Collaborate with partners and subject matter experts to ensure current course content.
Participate in scheduled orientations, meetings, and mandatory training programs by UCR's deadlines.
Maintain course shell and accurate academic records in the learning management system, and submit documentation and grades.
Maintain professional conduct, attend pre‑program class‑planning meetings, and instructor meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Advanced degree in Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Five years of related work experience.
Experience with computer‑aided instruction and learning management systems (e.g., CANVAS).
Proficiency in English suitable for the position.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to provide instruction in‑person and online.
Successful completion of a background check prior to start date.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching adult learners.
Preference to UCR Graduate students who are ABD, UCR graduates, or UCR lecturers.
Ability to teach a wide range of courses in the field of expertise.
Experience with curriculum development and course design.
Proven record of contributions to a supportive team environment.
Experience teaching online courses using Canvas.
Optional Qualifications
Course development in Business Management or Entrepreneurship related areas.
Compensation
Compensation for Extension courses is $75 per hour of instruction.
Employment Information
This part‑time position is not eligible for benefits but participates in the University of California Defined Contribution Plan.
